THE POSITION – INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN
Perform planned maintenance, trouble shooting, commissioning, inspections, repairs and overhauls on site equipment and systems as directed by the Operations / Maintenance Supervisor in accordance with government and company regulations and Apache core expectations.
Operate and maintain all facility and life support equipment.
Input in to the planning cycle as requested by the Operations / Maintenance Supervisor
Carry out isolations and plant preparation in accordance with company procedures
Maintain tools, test equipment and workshop equipment to a high standard
Utilize the Maintenance Management System to properly document and accurately report all maintenance, repairs, overhauls, adjustments and inspections
Promote improvement to ensure personal safety and the safety of others on site
Comply with the site environmental policies and procedures and actively promote environmental improvements
Participate in Emergency Response Team duties as required

Completion of a recognised technical apprenticeship
Relevant post apprenticeship working experience – minimum of 2 years.
Preference will be given to candidates with oil and gas experience however candidates with transferable skills from other industry may also be considered.
