Area Depth Imaging Geophysicist needed for Schlumberger

Description:

The Area Depth Imaging Geophysicist assures the geophysical integrity of seismic data processing by ensuring it is performed in compliance with company service quality procedures, best practices, and departmental work practices. Some responsibilities are shared with the project leader.

Successful Area Depth Imaging Geophysicists have a reputation for thoroughness, patience, and organizational ability. They are good communicators and problem solvers and have supervisory and team skills.

Qualifications: 

* Bachelor's degree in geophysics, geology, physics, mathematics, 

or similar scientific qualification.

* Minimum 5 years of experience in seismic data processing, 

including significant experience in depth imaging and building 

velocity models, and experience as a technical supervisor.

* Project management experience.

* Excellent grasp of geophysical and geologic principles and 

techniques.

* Proficiency in English language, spoken and written
